Wordle is a word game created by Josh Wadle. Free to play, this is a word guessing game that will have players correctly select a random five-letter word.  You have six tries to guess the word in each round. Don't worry, though. You'll have hints to help you.

However, unlike other word puzzle games, you can only play Wordle once per day. Once you guess the day's words, you're all done. In return, your web browser will remember the spot and serve up the next day's word. You can then share your results on social media. 

How do you play Wordle?

Wordle is a simple game that follows the typical word guessing game. The rules are simple. Every day, you will guess a word in six tries or less. You will do this by creating words in accordance with the number of tiles provided. After each guess, the color of the tiles on the screen will change to let you know if you are close or not.

If a letter tile turns green, it means that the letter is in the word and is in the correct spot. A yellow tile confirms that the letter is in the word but a different square. Finally, the tile will turn gray if the letter does not belong anywhere. There is no time limit to this game, allowing you to think it through and find the right word.

As mentioned, there is only one word for the day. And if you have guessed it correctly, your game is over. You will have to wait for the new word to show up to play another round. Don't worry, though. They show up by midnight. By its nature, this game inspired competition and comparison with other players as it allows you to share your results on social media.

Is the game good?

Overall, Wordle is a good brain-teasing game. It has simple rules typical of word guessing games. However, playing it won't be that easy as you have limited tries. Additionally, you only have one secret word for the day, and if you fail to guess it, you will have to wait the next day. Moreover, this game requires a web browser as it does not have a downloadable file.
