If you’ve been following our articles closely, you’ll know we made a fuss about the word-puzzle game Wordle, especially when the New York Times bought it. There’s now a new version that geography fans will love called Worldle. Instead of trying to work out what the word is, you’ll need to determine the country.
There’s a small black silhouette with the shape of the country, and Worldle gives you six attempts to get it right. After your choice, it shows different color blocks showcasing how close you are. Green means close, yellow is further away, and grey means you’re completely lost.
As extra clues, you’ll have a percentage and an arrow. The former gives you an idea of how close you are to solving it while the latter shows you in which direction you need to go. You’ll even have a distance indicator so you know how far you need to travel across the map for the destination.
This new version of Wordle is rather fun, and those that don’t know their countries will get to know them better with this browser game. When you’re done, Worldle places a link at the bottom with Google Map eyes so you can have a look at the location. It’s quite interactive and engaging.
We’re wondering how many more versions of Wordle will app. It would be excellent if there was one for video games where you need to guess the title based on a character or weapon. For now, we’ll keep guessing countries.
